Just another day on Fairfax. Two women in white SUVs had an accident and spent about 15 minutes exchanging information and blocking the center lane on traffic. Meanwhile, a guy in a white t-shirt was walking back and forth in the right lane, panhandling, and shouting incoherently at the women. Thus, both of Fairfax's through lanes were blocked and people had to use the turn lane to get around the white SUVs and the crazy guy. Eventually, a cop car showed up and told the guy to get out of the street (pictured here). But the white SUVs stayed parked in the middle lane for another five minutes. As soon as the cop left, the guy was back in the street.

Irrefutable proof that global warming is tied to a decrease in the number of pirates.

The traffic spikes come from people visiting the site randomly right after I post. The blog must appear on a "recently updated" list somewhere.

What's up with the union-hating? Matt over at blogging.la is getting hammered for suggesting that workers at a ritzy LA movie theater should unionize because they can't afford to see the movies at the theater at which they work.

My favorite comment: "[U]nionizing theatre workers is not the answer. These people aren't abused - they know what job they're getting when they sign up." Huh. Guess only people who are abused at work deserve better wages.

Los Angeles is the least-affordable city in relation to home sale prices, incomes and interest rates. Just like New York and San Francisco, but with none of the perks!
